Fantasies and Fairy-Tales
Maxfield Parrish and the Art of the Print
Isolated from many of his fellow artists due, in part, to his enormous commecial success, Parrish developed an original and individual style that defies categorization. His career represented a challenge to the traditional artisitc divide between commerical and fine art. Fantasies and Fairy-Tales testifies to Parrish's ability to live with a foot in both worlds, simulatenously enjoying the fruits of commerical and critical success while delighting audiences of all ages.

A Perfect Measure
The Golden Mean in Contemporary Art
Approximately 45 works utilizing the Golden Mean have been assembled for the traveling exhibition A Perfect Measure: The Golden Mean in Contemporary Art. The exhibition features paintings, textiles, works on paper, and scupltures and brings together bold, large-sclae paintings and textiles that are complemented by delicate pencil renderings and three-dimensional pieces of gemotrical precision, each capturing the simple elegance and harmonious chord the ratio resonates. With the 21st century opening the door to an amalgamation of science and art, this exhibition helps to brige the gap between those two disciplines and highlights the manner in which they intertwine.
