TME is committed to providing exhibitions to more than 200 museums and cultural institutions across the United States borrowing from almost 300 national and international sources. The list of its partner museums is constantly growing. These institutions enrich and enliven the communities in which they are located, enhancing local efforts to solve urban social problems and strengthening these communities through the unique power of the arts.

Cultural institutions are often caught, however, between combined pressures: on the one hand reduced financial support from donors and reduced staff; and on the other a need for an effective program of changing exhibitions and educational programs to fill the revenue gap.

TME is part of the solution to this dilemma. As an extension of museum staff, and with its own museum-trained staff, TME provides a complete range of scholarly and technical services. And, by gathering a consortium of museums to host an exhibition too expensive for any one museum, TME contributes to its economic impact in a number of communities. Every dollar granted to it – from local spending by visitors to the exhibitions, to expenditures by the museum consortia – has a multiplier effect.

To carry out its comprehensive program, TME works with a broad network of museum professionals. Fully coordinated services include:

TME also provides technical assistance and tour supervision for museums, corporations, and individuals and welcomes the opportunity to circulate their collections in the United States or abroad.
